The Land of the Ghost Dance
I love Wovoka. I love the wide openness of the place, it is a land of big views and big sky There is an abundance of wildlife, bears, mountain lions, deer, and birds of every description . I suppose what makes the place so special to me is the cultural nuggets that abound secretly in Wovoka waiting to be discovered, afterall it's where Wovoka the Paiute Messiah once walked...sometimes late at night you can hear the Spirits whispering.

Wovoka

" I want my people to stay with me here. All the dead men will come to life again. Their spirits will come to their bodies again. We must wait here in the homes of our fathers and be ready to meet them in the bosom of our mother. "
-Wovoka, Paiute Prophet
