Galena Creek Park is a really fun place to go on a weekday (work is dreadfully slow) especially with fresh snow. I took Henry snowshoeing. I think it was Henry's first time in deep snow, he loved it. There is nothing quite like the quiet beauty of fresh snow in the mountain. I'm not very good at Sierra type forest shots because they all seem to look the same, but I keep trying. I do like the image directly above and bridge photo.

The Big Dump last night consisted of wet & heavy snow, the branches of the pines were straining under the weight. They were ticking time bombs just waiting for the wind to come along & give them a nudge then whoosh a ton of cold wet snow is unleashed on the unsuspecting hiker and his dog. Brrrrrrr....
