Squaw Valley USA was once again the site of the Minerva Holiday Party. It is always a fun event, the food & drinks are plentiful and the folks are real special. What makes it fun for me is that I get to take the "offical" party photos and actually get paid for it (I'd do it for free but they insist). They are good people with generous hearts . One of the highlights at this year's event was getting a opportunity to hear Sophie a musician/singer with a beautiful voice and a unique style.

I woke up early Saturday morning to witness the morning ski resort ritual unfold, complete with with, snowcats, and ski patrollers, and other resort staffers all scurrying about in the predawn darkness so the Squaw locals & tourists from around the globe could have the opportunity to make an early morning speed run down through a 1/2 mile strip of man made pow. The guy in the white parka was having a blast despite the meager conditions. I'm seriously thinking about heading up to Rose and making a few turns of my own.

Are the turns real if you make them on fake snow?
