Nye County Star Shots
I'm still working on the proper technique, so bear with me. I shot these with a 10.5 fisheye at ISO 1600 for around 2 minutes; I was trying to freeze the stars rather than have star trails. I painted the snow with my headlamp in the second shot. I'm working on the focus issues & right aperture(I used F4). I was very happy to get the Milky Way in my image. I took these on the night of the new moon. The insidious glow on the horizon is Las Vegas, over two hundred miles away. The first image I shot looking north into the darkest part of the sky.

Thanks Sunny! They're a lot of fun to take. I feel like a kid in a candy store waiting for the shutter to click. The night time sky in the Nevada Outback is amazing & the Milky Way is so clear.
