I spent all last week inside of a classroom and I just had to get Outside, but I didn’t have too much time so I did a lightning trip to the Smoke Creek with my bro-in-law on Saturday. We call these trips "drive by shootings" because we just hop out of the car blast a few frames then...
Vroom its off to the next location. Here's a few drive by shots of the Smoke Creek Desert as the storm clouds rolled in from the west. The wind was begining to howl and the dust was flying.
BTW- Those are Henry's footprints in the white soil in the image above, he cruised by as I was setting up the shot. Dogs you got to love 'em....

We have alot of good memories hiking and chasing birds with my brother-in-law @ Smoke Creek. He passed away late last night, this was perfect timing to remember the good times.
I'm very sorry to here about your brother-in-law. I have this special spot near Lone Pine Ca. that my dad and I used to go to alot when he was alive. I always feel so close to him when I'm there. I'm so glad I have a place to go that we shared so many goodtimes.
