Sheeps Flat aka Tahoe Meadows. A trio of shots from Tahoe Meadows, one of Third Creek at the boardwalk, a view of the lake from Chickadee Ridge, and a shot from the forest looking up towards Relay Peak.

Note- The shot of Third Creek was shot at a shutter speed of 40. I like the shot , but the flow of the creek doesn' t look natural . I think a shutter speed of 60 would of worked just fine to give it the natural look. There was way too much light and I was lazy and didn't want to dig my ND filters out to slow down the water. I think I would of have to shot it at a shutter speed 1/4 to 1/2 second to blurr the water correctly, and there was way to much light bouncing off the snow for that to happen.

No it is really easy to access.

Just take Mt Rose Hwy over the MtRose Summit towards Inclineafter the pass you continue downhill to the BIG meadow and park along the road. Have fun it is a great place and so close to town. The view of the lake is about a short one mile walk to the low ridge to the west on the southside of the road. There is a trail ...except right now it is buried under 2-4 feet of snow.
