A Wolf in the Lamar Valley Yellowstone National Park
Dave Foreman gave a talk at a Patagonia Tools conference a few years ago I was very prigvleged to attend, and I was move to tears when he told us the story about the time Aldo Leopold shot a wolf and sadly watched the "green fire" fade from her eyes as she died. That moment forever changed Aldo Leopold and hearing and then later reading the story has had a profound effect on me too. Needless to say Wolves have become(a least for me) a symbol for the Wild. So seeing a wolf in the Wild was very high on my life list. I took this shot in the rain from a distance of about 200 yards with a 300 mm telephoto
...Wild Places with Wolves...REALLY REALLY GOOD STUFF.
OOOWWWWWWooooooo!
